description Route Description

The East Coastway Remastered add-on for Train Sim World 6 brings players back to the scenic Sussex coast, covering the classic lines connecting Brighton, Eastbourne, and the Seaford branch. Originally opening in stages from 1846 onwards, this vital rail corridor has served generations of commuters and holidaymakers travelling alongside the English Channel.

This remastered version revitalises the fan-favourite route with cutting-edge visual upgrades, including volumetric skies, enhanced foliage, updated track ballast, and an accessible Lovers Walk Depot in Brighton. Players can experience immersive operations featuring audible passenger announcements and Guard Mode.

Operating duties are anchored by the dependable Southern BR Class 377/4 electric multiple unit handling passenger shuttles, alongside heavy aggregate services hauled by the updated EWS BR Class 66. From urban coastal stations to quiet rural branch halts, drivers face a diverse mix of scheduling challenges across the route's detailed network.

TopTrains Editor Review

"Many of you know this DLC has been around for a while, but it recently received a massive remaster that completely brings it back to life. Personally, it's one of those add-ons that deserves a spot in your collection, and I'm going to walk you through why."

"First of all, whether you are arriving in Brighton or pulling out of it, you are treated to some seriously breathtaking views of the London Road Viaduct. Once you roll past that incredible viaduct which leaves you breathless with all of Brighton spread out right below your feet, you will arrive at Lewes station. This station is not only gorgeous, but it also handles an intense mix of passenger and freight traffic. One of the best things to do here is simply set up for some trainspotting at Lewes and watch all the diverse rolling stock roll by."

"Leaving Lewes, the route splits toward Eastbourne, which is a high-speed branch line, or toward Seaford. Personally, whenever I have the chance, I take the run down to Seaford because you head right past the ferry port, pass through some wonderfully historic stations, and get some awesome coastal sea views. In my view, all of this combined makes this a DLC that deserves a spot in your collection."
