description Route Description
This expansion brings true 300 km/h high-speed rail operations to Train Sim World for the first time. Developed by Train Sim Germany, the route spans roughly 90 kilometers through Bavaria, connecting the major railway hubs of Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof and Ingolstadt Hauptbahnhof. Running along the A9 motorway corridor, the track features gentle sweeping curves, noticeable gradients, and multiple tunnels designed specifically to allow high-speed trains to travel at full velocity.
Players can experience two distinct operational styles across the route. You can take control of non-stop ICE express services, hurtling between both terminals in under 20 minutes, or operate the München-Nürnberg-Express regional services. These regional trains run at speeds up to 200 km/h and call at intermediate stations located along the valleys between the two cities.
The add-on features two main traction options and dedicated passenger stock. You can drive the iconic DB BR 403 ICE 3M high-speed train, sporting its classic DB red-stripe design, or handle regional duties with the classic DB BR 101 electric locomotive in a weathered livery, paired with a push-pull set of München-Nürnberg-Express coaches and cab car.
The route includes realistic driving physics, authentic audio with onboard passenger announcements, and interactive cab controls. Beyond the included scenarios and guided tutorials, the realistic timetable can be further expanded with additional traffic layers if you own other compatible German routes, adding local freight, S-Bahn, and other ICE services to the line.
